Our history

1973

Founding of Polyson, the first technical service provider in France. Renamed JLT Group in 1983.

1980

Magnum established in Paris.

1982

Dispatch, Arpège Son and Caméléon founded. The companies combine in 2011 to form Dushow.

1987

The predecessor of Novelty, Euphonie (renamed Euroson in 1989), is established.

2000

Creation of Groupe Novelty, the holding company for Euroson.

2001

Euroson expands to Toulouse.

2003

Led by Jacques de La Guillonnière, the Groupe begins a series of targeted acquisitions that begins its current growth trajectory.

2009

All Groupe Novelty brands (Novelty, Euroson, Interpel, JLT Services, VPS, Stagecraft, Company and Rentup) are consolidated in a single warehouse in Longjumeau, 18km south of Paris.

2010

Euroson becomes Novelty.

2011

Creation of Dushow SAS, with offices in Paris, Nice and Marseille.

2016

Novelty and Magnum form a holding company, becoming a European market leader in technical services for shows and events.

2017

This was followed in 2017 by the acquisition of Potar Hurlant, a specialist in live sound rental for 30 years.

2018

Groupe Novelty acquires the Dushow group, forming Groupe Novelty-Magnum-Dushow.

2019

Novelty establishes a presence in the Middle East with the acquisition of IRIS. The company, renamed Novelty Middle East, has a presence in Dubai and Dammam (Saudi Arabia).

2021

TEAMAGINE, the R&D office for stage design, is founded in Paris.

2022

BBS Backline joins Novelty, bolstering its backline business. Backloc becomes BBS Azur and BBS Sud becomes BBS Marseille.

Contact joins Novelty and becomes Novelty Normandie.

Novelty opens office in Doha (Qatar).

SMTC becomes On Stage, marking the integration of the Groupe’s stage business.

2023

New Light joins Novelty and is renamed Novelty Italy.

Novelty acquires Lagoona, which becomes Novelty Grand Est.

2024

CHS joins Groupe Novelty-Magnum-Dushow and becomes Novelty Portugal.

C17, a specialist in stage effects, and Seven, a rigging specialist, join Groupe Novelty-Magnum-Dushow.

Groupe Novelty-Magnum-Dushow becomes Groupe Novelty
